CreamSilk was formulated to celebrate the beauty of the Filipina. With its wide range of products, it has empowered women to go beyond just basic hair care to an elevated standard of self-worth and achievement.
It is surprising to know, however, that results of a brand survey show that 7 out of 10 Filipinas are still settling. We are unfulfilled professionally and feel that we can DO more and BE more. What’s troubling is the refusal to go further due to self-doubt and lack of opportunities.
CreamSilk aims to change this mindset by launching its brand purpose campaign #ConditionedForGreater through a film featuring outstanding Filipina women who have gone from good to great: Miss Universe winners Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray, versatile actress Nadine Lustre, and artist Heart Evangelista. All are role models who have shown what perseverance and hard work can accomplish.
In partnership with Edukasyon.ph, the largest education technology platform in the country, CreamSilk will launch an online academy powered by the learning platforms Google Digital Garage and Kadenze. This learning hub offers 15 FREE online courses for aspiring businesswomen, creatives and storytellers, curated by industry experts and renowned universities from around the world. Included are topics on entrepreneurship, videography, data analytics, and public speaking.
In line with this purposeful endeavor, Unilever Philippines hosted a dinner gala at Palacio De Memoria along Roxas Blvd last January 29. Guests saw the ambassadors of women empowerment up-close and heard what they had to say about the cause. A delicious five-course dinner was served. Karen Davila was also present and led a discussion on stage with select panelists. It was truly a night to honor the best of the Filipina spirit!
