We love New York City! In fact, we spent back-to-back summers on the East Coast. My kids and I enjoyed exploring the museums, watching celebrities perform in Rockefeller Plaza and spending the day getting lost in the many hidden wonders of Central Park. There are so many places to visit. Battery Park has the Glass Carousel, Staten Island offers a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn is home to iconic Coney Island. We always stay along 5th avenue where shopping is divine and the Broadway shows in Times Square are just a short walk away. In this city, yellow cabs are part and parcel of everyone’s lives. Back in Manila, however, Yellow Cab is our favorite pizza brand.
As a tribute to its birthplace, Yellow Cab recently launched not one but five new exciting flavors aptly called 5 Boroughs Pizza. New York’s Finest revealed the fresh offerings inspired by the city’s famed boroughs: Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. “If you love New York’s Finest, you will definitely enjoy the 5 Boroughs Pizza. Generously topped with edge-to-edge flavors, our new products will serve as your gastronomic gateway to the city that never sleeps,” said Elise Veloso, Senior Brand Manager for Yellow Cab Pizza Co.
It took us less than 20 minutes to finish both! Big bites for big appetites! My top choice though is the Creamy Mushroom Pizza.

Bites of The Big Apple
From our home in the South, we made the short trip to the Magallanes Multi-brand hub. We ordered the Bronx Creamy Mushroom Pizza and Staten Island Basil and Ricotta Pizza. It took us less than 20 minutes to finish both! That’s how much we loved it. My top choice though is the Creamy Mushroom Pizza. The combination of white sauce, chicken, olives and bell peppers just works. If you’re a cheese lover (like us), then the red sauce base of Staten Island coupled with crushed tomatoes, three kinds of cheeses and basil is preferable.
We love Yellow Cab!
The FUN starts at the door. Yellow Cab adds the good in eats.
Other flavors include Manhattan Steak and Eggs (steak strips doused in steak sauce topped with onions and green bell peppers), Brooklyn Spicy Seafood (loaded with spicy Jalapeñ0, peppers, shrimps, crabsticks, tomatoes and capers) and lastly, Queens Oriental Chicken (chicken, mushrooms, onions, mushrooms, pineapple topped with cilantro on a sweet/tangy Oriental sauce base). Prices are quite reasonable too – Php 499 for regular, Php 559 for large and Php 999 for the New York size.
Pancake House and Krispy Kreme are also in the Magallanes Compound and both offer dessert and coffee. This time we made a quick stop at Krispy Kreme.
