DECK THE HALLS!
What a sight to behold!  The lobby of  Manila Hotel has been transformed into a  scene straight from a child’s fantasy book.  The magic begins from the moment you step inside.  A  giant clock tower adorned with Yuletide brick-a –brac  sets the tone for the entire display.  “This season , we took inspiration from FAO SCHWARTZ, a magical emporium featuring extra-ordinary, one-of-a-kind  toys and candies from all over the world, “ said Nian Rigor, Assistant VP for  PR and Corporate Communications of The Manila Hotel.

SPARKLING LIGHTS
Last November 14, the Christmas tree lighting  ceremony took place at the Grand Dame.  The Las Piñas Boys Choir serenaded the guests with their cherubim voices.  Christmas carols filled the air as the children sang to the delight of everyone!

Festooned in shimmering hues of red, white and green candy ornaments, the lighting of the two spectacular 22-feet Christmas trees heralded the start of the holidays.

At the center of it all, was a life size carousel decked in oversized peppermint swirl lollipops, candy canes and other sweet delights.

SANTA’S HOUSE OF TREATS

Santa Claus will greet hotel guests at desginated hours. The house smelled heavenly! Real gingerbread and icing were used to decorate the festive structure.  Guests can gift their loved ones with  chocolate pralines, cookies, fruitcakes and extravagant hampers.

STRINGS AND KEYS

The night was made more enthralling as a seven-piece string ensemble played in the lobby.

Former Senator/ Atty. Joey Lina is such a charmer and a crooner at that. He sang a song (“I’ll Never Let You Go” by Louis Levante) for me!

With the Manila Hotel’s Resident Manager Gerhard Doll and MH President Joey Lina.

“Truly,  for 102 years, the Hotel has been a rich reservoir of Yuletide stories.  Please allow us to host you during the holidays.  It will surely be a memorable stay, “said Dr. Enrique Yap, Jr., Executive Vice- President of the Manila Hotel.  Simbang Gabi will be celebrated at the Roma Salon from December 15 to 23 at 6:00PM.  You may savor delectable Filipino delicacies after the  mass such as bibingka, puto bumbong, tsokolate and salabat while the halls are being filled with traditional Christmas Carols from choice chorales.
