It’s vacation time! My 4 year old daughter could not contain her excitement as I showed her the invitation to my event. It had colorful donuts, gummy bears, lollies and a big slice of cake. “I want to go! I want to go, “ she jumped up and down. So early last Saturday morning, she dressed up in her grey fringed dress and Frozen boots—all from H&M, of course! We were, after all, headed to the H&M and Celebrity Mom Shopping Play Date at SM Makati.
The Kids’ Section was already teeming with excited toddlers when we arrived. My daughter R was given a cupcake liner with different tokens so she could enjoy the different booths that were set up. She immediately made a beeline for the cotton candy station. Even I was impressed with the pink heart shaped cotton candy framed by white spun sugar! What a sweet treat indeed! I wanted to scour the racks of clothes, shoes and accessories already but my little diva had other things in mind. “Look, Mom! Candy buffet!” Googly eyed and eyes darting here and there, she filled up her red polka dot candy box with all kinds of confections. Sugar rush!
The fun didn’t stop there. As DJ Marc Naval played a Justin Bieber song, R spotted the Face Painting booth at the far end of the hall. She chose a pink cupcake with multi colored sprinkles for her cheek design. After that, I finally got her to fit two summer dresses, a red tulle skirt and some tops. Guests enjoyed up to 50% discount on H&M Kids items and the buy 3 pay for 2 promotions.
It was definitely a fashionable and fun morning for all the attendees. Lucky guests also went home with special prizes, The first 5 boys and 5 girls were handed out Early Bird gift bags. Others were given gift certificates for winning in the Speed Stacks Competiition.
Our weekend mother- daughter bonding date was not quite over yet. As we stepped out of the retail store, R saw a pink poster with all her favorite Disney Princesses. It turned out that there was a Disney – Maya Hotcake mix cupcake decorating activity on the upper floor. She had a grand time swirling icing on the cupcake and putting on rainbow colored sprinkles on it before she finished it off in 3 bites!
