More than a decade ago, when my son was just a toddler, I would bring him to the newest mall located ten minutes from our home in Taguig -Market Market! Back then this particular Ayala Mall was a hideaway not yet discovered by the masses. We would frequent it twice to thrice a week to stroll around the shops, eat, do the grocery and also so I can let my boy M enjoy the tall slides in the park outside. Fast forward to 2018, progress and people have taken over our once quiet retail and relaxation haven. It is now home to about 600 merchants (inline stores and themed bazaar combined), 23 dining options and enjoys an average of 150 thousand daily visitors! WOW!
At the helm of this shopping mecca is its amiable General Manager Sherlene Cruz. “One of the highlights of the mall is our themed bazaar composed of the Gift, Home and Fashion Market. Guests can buy a wide array of products from toys and novelties to furniture to textile and handicrafts. ”

The Fun in the Fab Finds!
My family has moved to the South, but still I go to Market Market! in Taguig for great bargain finds. I’ve spent countless hours browsing through the tiangge stalls at the Home and Gift Section located on the 3rd floor, always enjoying the thrill of the hunt and the sweetness of scoring a good buy!
Here are my favorite shops to frequent:
I can’t stand the look of worn-out seat, couch covers, or curtains. At Cotton Touch, I’m able to get quality fabric (60in -90in width) at less than PHP100/yard. Big savings for me as I have three couch sectionals that consume 19 – 24 yards per seat cover.
EDENG’S TOY STORE
My daughter recently had her 7th birthday party and I needed prizes for games. Instead of heading to Divisoria, I decided to save on travel time (gas too!) and purchased all kinds of knick-knacks at Edeng’s Toy Store. The toy depot has all the party needs you can think of (invitations, mylar balloons, loot bags, themed plates, cups and napkins), costumes and masks and, of course, toys. Items are sold in packs or by the bulk so this is quite ideal if you are looking to buy for a group of people.
THE DOLLAR STORE
I needed additional sweet treats to put in the party loot bags and I was able to purchase imported chocolates by the box here.
Fine Jewelry and Accessories
Fine jewelry is always a good investment and in the Market Market Gift Section!, you can find a couple of stalls dedicated to this. I like SOLIYA’S FASHION CREATIONS. The seller is easy to talk to and offers reasonable prices and terms. Price range is as low as PHP20K to a high of PHP650K for the more ornate and diamond studded pieces.
The whole middle section of the Gift section houses 50 pearl merchants selling freshwater, South Sea pearls, semi-precious stones and beaded accessories of all kinds. Stand out stall for me is LUCKY and LISA Pearl and Jewelry, whose creations have been used in fashion shows in Paris.
Here are other shops that may be of interest to you.
Still at the Gift Section:
LUX ONLINE – This consignment and reseller store is a favorite of celebrities. Find your favorite brands Prada, Chanel, LV, Hermes etc or part with your arm candy at a good price. Your sweet call.
LUMBEÑOS for quality ternos, barongs and Filipiniana wear.
QONCEPT sells IKEA . I love the whimsical design and colors of the products.
CMG RATTAN FURNITURE sells suspended swings and furniture perfect for the outdoors. You can choose from their albums or have yours custom made.
Who can resist great finds at the best prices? The smart and practical mom in me most certainly cannot! See you at Market Market!
